 Dr. Bley, the founder of Laser & Microsurgery Institute, is internationally recognized as a leader in the field of cataract and refractive surgery. He is also one of a handful of surgeons at the forefront of surgical alternatives to Lasik, such as Intraocular Contact Lenses and clear lens extraction.

Dr. Bley is one of the pioneers lf Laser Vision Correction. He conducted early Excimer Laser studies on pig eyes in 1989 prior to its formal approval by the FDA (Federal Drug Administration).

Dr. Bley is currently a principle investigator in a Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Study to correct Presbyopia (Nearsightedness)
